Coloured bath resurfacing for Duffield homes

What affects the price in Duffield

Resurfacing from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:

  • How many areas need work
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • The material and finish

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Duffield. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Getting a price from pictures

You can generally get a fixed quote without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • A picture taken from further back
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Where you are, by postcode

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Duffield without replacing anything

A full suite is normally done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Typical jobs include selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, on coloured shower trays, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Duffield questions

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. If pictures don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

Do you come to Duffield?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Duffield and the rest of Derbyshire. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

How quickly can you book me in?

That depends on our diary for your area. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

What happens if you find more damage?

The price is fixed for what the pictures show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will tell you what will last.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.

Is my repair covered?

Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Will there be a smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Duffield

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

For anyone letting property in or around Duffield, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we’ll price them together.

Repair or replace in Duffield?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Why us?

  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • One visit for most repairs
  • We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing

Common problems we fix in Duffield

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

Contact us if you’ve noticed any of these:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

Before you book anyone

  • A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
  • Whether the price covers travel
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • How your room will be protected

10 questions to ask before you book

The process

The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, usually ready the next day.

How to prepare

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Open a window if you can

There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

Advice

What we can’t put right

Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, including:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
