Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Easington

Coloured bath resurfacing in Easington, done in place

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair coloured shower trays, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites, and common reasons people contact us are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Before and after: an old basin refinished to bright white

Should I try a DIY kit first?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

What happens on the day

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, typically ready the day after.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Point us to the nearest place to park

Getting a price

There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. Each job gets its own fixed price. These are the things that affect it:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • What the surface is made of

Set against the cost of replacement, repairing normally costs far less, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Quotes from your pictures

Most quotes are done from photos alone. To make it quick:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Any details about the material

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job.

What a repair cannot fix

We will not take on work that won’t last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before booking.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites

Easington questions

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

You get a fixed quote and available dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before.

What happens if you find more damage?

Your quote covers the damage in the photos. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Are you accredited?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Do you cover the whole of Buckinghamshire?

Across the UK, so Easington is covered. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Is there any odour?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, which is why we ventilate. It clears as the materials cure.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

Is a repair better than a new one?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.

Work for landlords and builders

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Easington as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it typically costs far less than a refit.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip.

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A repair typically costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.
