Coloured bath resurfacing in Farnley Tyas without replacing anything
A full suite is generally done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We work on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and people most frequently call us about selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.
Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Farnley Tyas: your questions answered
Is a repair better than a new one?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.
Is my repair covered?
Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.
Are you accredited?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
Is there any odour?
There can be some smell while we work, so we ventilate the room. It clears as the materials cure.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Typically, yes. The old repair comes out first.
Can you do the toilet too?
Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will tell you what will last.
Are there extra charges for Farnley Tyas?
We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.
What a repair cannot fix
Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. We cannot fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before booking.
Surfaces we repair
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured basins
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured shower trays
How it works
Once we’re through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the job takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.
- The room is protected and ventilated.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.
Before we arrive
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
Getting a price
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos using our quote form or ring us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.
Advice
Can I fix it myself?
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
Should you replace it?
Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is generally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.
Why us?
- Honest advice, even when it means no job
- One price list for the entire UK

Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. You won’t pay by the hour. The price depends on:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- How much damage there is
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Send pictures for a quote
You can take the pictures on your phone. Ensure they show:
- Any details about the material
- Details of any past repairs
- Where you are, by postcode
- A picture taken from further back
Send us a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your HD4 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
