Coloured bath resurfacing in Firth without replacing anything
A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. If you are dealing with a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can help, on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths alike.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are not left on your own once we’ve gone. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing generally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Why book with us
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
- One price list for the entire UK
- One-year guarantee on every repair
See our prices page or bath cost comparison.
What happens on the day
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can carry on at home. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes a day or two, depending on how many items. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- We leave everything to cure, normally until the day after.
How to prepare
- Let us know about parking or access
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
- Let us know if it has been repaired before

Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually, from your photos. The main factors are:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- What the surface is made of
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- How hard the colour is to match
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.
Getting a price from pictures
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- The material, if you know it
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Something in shot to show the size
- A wider photo showing the whole suite
To get a price, send two or three pictures using our quote form or call us. We will say straight away if a repair is the right fix.
When we’d advise against a repair
In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.
Surfaces we repair
- Whole bathroom suites
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured basins
- Coloured shower trays
Signs you need coloured bath resurfacing in Firth
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.
People usually call us when they notice something like this:
- Faded or patchy colour
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

DIY repairs versus a professional job
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
Landlord and trade work in Firth
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
Firth questions
Can you do the toilet too?
Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Normally, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so mention it when you send pictures.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include pictures of each item.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.
Which areas do you work in?
Everywhere in the UK, Firth included. Travel is included in the price.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, for a year. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.
Do you cover Firth?
We do. We send a technician to Firth for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
