Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Gracemount

A full suite is normally done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We work on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites, and common reasons people get in touch are faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we’ll sort it. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

FAQs for Gracemount

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, we often do. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.

Are you accredited?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Are there extra charges for Gracemount?

There is no separate call-out charge. Your fixed price includes everything.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

What happens next?

We review the pictures and send a fixed quote with dates.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, so the repair isn’t disturbed while it cures.

Do I need to be at home?

We need someone to let us in. You don’t need to watch us work.

Will the price change on the day?

If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.

Landlord and trade work in Gracemount

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Gracemount use us as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.

Common problems we fix in Gracemount

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Common reasons people in Gracemount contact us are:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour

10 questions to ask before booking

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. There’s no area surcharge for Gracemount. The price reflects:

  • The type of damage
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • What the surface is made of

Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Getting a price from pictures

You can generally get a fixed quote without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • The material, if you know it
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, add your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

Repair or replace in Gracemount?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Gracemount. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Why book with us

  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Typically one visit, start to finish
  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • Colour mixed on the day to match

See our full price list or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

The process

When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take one to two days for a full suite. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before

Advice

What a repair can’t fix

A repair isn’t right for every job, for example:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
