Coloured bath resurfacing near Greenfoot

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Greenfoot

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Typical jobs include a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite, in coloured basins, coloured shower trays and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Questions from Greenfoot

Do you cover the entire of North Lanarkshire?

We cover the entire UK, including Greenfoot and the rest of North Lanarkshire. Send your postcode with your photos and we will offer you dates.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Are there extra charges for Greenfoot?

We do not add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include pictures of each item.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

What do you need from me?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We’re happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just ensure the landlord agrees.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

Work for landlords and builders

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Greenfoot as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it usually costs far less than a refit.

What affects the price in Greenfoot

Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Greenfoot. What changes the price is:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • How many items we do on one visit

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Send photos for a quote

You can generally get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A picture taken from further back
  • Any details about the material

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.

When a repair isn’t the answer

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites

Repair or replace in Greenfoot?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why book with us

  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Fixed prices from your pictures
  • Work done at your home or business

See our pricing or resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

How the visit works

Here’s how a visit normally runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, do the job and clear up. Plan for a day or two, depending on how many items. Before we go, we will explain when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Make sure the room can be ventilated
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Ensure the area is dry

Common problems we fix in Greenfoot

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

These are the problems we are asked about most:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What your quote should include

  • Who will actually do the work
  • Whether the price covers travel
  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
