Coloured bath resurfacing in Grenoside, done in place

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We are often asked to fix faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, on coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re covered after the visit. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

When a repair isn’t the answer

We’d rather lose a job than do one that will not last, so here’s what a repair can’t put right:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.

Surfaces we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

What affects the price in Grenoside

Resurfacing from £350. You will know the full cost before booking. We look at:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Doing more than one item at once

We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for Grenoside. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Quotes from your pictures

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:

  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • What it’s made of, if you know

Email us photos of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your S35 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

Signs you need coloured bath resurfacing in Grenoside

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Keep an eye out for these signs:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

Questions to ask before booking

  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • What preparation is included
  • Whether a trained technician does the job
  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?

10 questions to ask before booking

Can I fix it myself?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

What we do, step by step

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you are not left guessing. Once we’re there, the work takes one to two days for a full suite for most jobs. We leave the room clean and you’ll know when it can be used.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the next day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Make sure the room can be ventilated
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Getting a price
