How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Hallfield

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is generally done in one to two days. If you’re dealing with a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can help, whatever the material.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. A repair generally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.

Why book with us

  • We leave the room as we found it
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Colour mixed on the day to match

Read our pricing or resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

What happens on the day

We turn up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your photos first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes one to two days for a full suite, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.

What we cannot put right

We will not take on work that will not last, so these are the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The material and finish

There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

How to get a fixed quote

You can take the photos on your phone. Ensure they show:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • One picture of the entire suite
  • What it’s made of, if you know

We price from photos so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.

FAQs for Hallfield

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

What information do you need?

Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, we often do. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

Will the price change on the day?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.
