Should I try a DIY kit first?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why us?

  • No need to remove anything
  • A fixed quote before booking
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

What we do, step by step

We turn up when we said we would, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before we open a single tin. Most visits take one to two days for a full suite, and the room is left clean and tidy.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, typically ready the next day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Open a window if you can

When a repair isn’t the answer

A repair isn’t right for every job, including:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays

Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in Hampton Heath

What about the toilet?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.

What information do you need?

Just photos, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.

How do I get a price for coloured bath resurfacing in Hampton Heath?

Prices start from £350. Because every job differs, we price from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before you book.

Is there any odour?

There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.

Can you quote from pictures?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.

Can pets and children be at home?

Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Typically, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

How to compare quotes

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. There’s no area surcharge for Hampton Heath. What changes the price is:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • How many areas need work
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • The colour and finish to match

The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

How to get a fixed price

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
