Coloured bath resurfacing for Hartley homes

Coloured bath resurfacing in Hartley without replacing anything

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Our repair technicians work on coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites, and people most often call us about a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Repair or replace in Hartley?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. A repair typically costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.

What you get with us

  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job

What we do, step by step

We work cleanly and quietly. We protect the area first, then the work takes one to two days for a full suite. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Getting a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, include your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.

Advice

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

When a repair isn’t the answer

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • The material
  • How easy the damage is to reach

Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Getting a price from pictures

When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • Any details about the material
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • A picture taken from further back
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

Email us pictures of the damage and one of the whole item, with your PL3 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

What information do you need?

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

We’re happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just ensure the landlord agrees.

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.

Is there any odour?

There can be some smell while we work, which is why we ventilate. It fades as everything cures.

When to call us in Hartley

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

These are the problems we are asked about most:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

What your quote should include

  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • Who will actually do the work
  • Aftercare advice
