Coloured bath resurfacing in Haslar

Coloured bath resurfacing in Haslar, done in place

A full suite is normally done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair coloured basins, whole bathroom suites and coloured shower trays, and people most frequently call us about a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Compared with replacing, repairing normally costs far less, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

How it works

Once we’re through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes one to two days for a full suite, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, typically ready the next day.

Before we arrive

  • Open a window if you can
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

Getting a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

When a repair is not the answer

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. We cannot fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

Surfaces we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

DIY repairs versus a professional job

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

What affects the price in Haslar

Prices start from £350. There is no area surcharge for Haslar. What changes the price is:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • How much damage there is
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

A repair typically costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.

How to get a fixed price

When you take your photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Details of any past repairs
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.
