Coloured bath resurfacing in High Street

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including High Street. What changes the price is:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The material
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Getting a price from photos

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Try to send:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Any details about the material
  • Details of any past repairs

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures using our quote form or call us. We’ll say right away whether it can be repaired.

About our coloured bath resurfacing in High Street

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We regularly repair avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and coloured shower trays, and common reasons people get in touch are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

All our work is covered by a one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

How it works

We begin by going over the job with you. Next, we cover and mask everything nearby and we start. Allow one to two days for a full suite, and we will tell you if anything changes.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

When a repair isn’t the answer

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

Surfaces we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

Repairing versus replacing in High Street

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for High Street. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Why book with us

  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • Colour-matched on site
  • No need to remove anything
  • Work done at your home or business

What we are called out for in High Street

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Contact us if you’ve noticed:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

How to compare quotes

Work for landlords and builders

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in High Street as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.

Common questions in High Street

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?
