About our coloured bath resurfacing in Humby

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Whether it’s a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can help, whatever the material.

Every job is backed for twelve months in Humby and everywhere else. We return to put right any problem with the work. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What we do, step by step

We work cleanly and quietly. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes one to two days for a full suite. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Open a window if you can
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area

What affects the price in Humby

Resurfacing from £350. You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • How much damage there is
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • The material

Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

How to get a fixed price

Before you send photos, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Send us a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, and tell us you are in Humby, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

Repairing versus replacing in Humby

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Why us?

  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • One price list for the whole UK
  • Colour-matched on site
  • Most jobs done in one visit

DIY repairs versus a professional job

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

Humby: your questions answered

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before and we will plan for it.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

Will the price change on the day?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Usually, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

How much does coloured bath resurfacing cost in Humby?

Prices start from £350. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before you book.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Yes, almost always. Clear photos let us give you a fixed price without visiting.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

When a repair is not the answer

We won’t take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before you book.
