Coloured bath resurfacing for Kidderminster homes

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why Kidderminster customers choose us

  • One visit for most repairs
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Kidderminster

A full suite is generally done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins, and people most frequently call us about selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What we cannot put right

It helps to know what we cannot do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins

DIY kit or professional repair?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Kidderminster: your questions answered

Can pets and children be at home?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Of course, and it usually saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and you’ll get one combined price.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will tell you what will last.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Worcestershire.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just ensure the landlord agrees.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Do you cover Kidderminster?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Kidderminster. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually, from your photos. What matters most is:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • What kind of damage it is
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • The material and finish

Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Quotes from your photos

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

To get a price, send two or three pictures through our quote form or call us. We will say right away whether it can be repaired.

What we do, step by step

From the moment we arrive, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes a day or two, depending on how many items, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Let us know about parking or access

Ask for a price

Email us a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your DY10 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

Common problems we fix in Kidderminster

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

Look out for these signs:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

Comparing quotes

  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • How soon you can use it again
  • Who turns up on the day
