Coloured bath resurfacing in Kingsmead, done in place
Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. If you’re dealing with a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour, we can generally put it right, whatever the material.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are covered after the visit. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is typically a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.
Why Kingsmead customers choose us
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
- Every repair guaranteed for a year
- Honest advice, even when it means no job

Can I fix it myself?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
Kingsmead: your questions answered
Can a coloured bath be made white?
Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.
Do you work in Kingsmead?
We do. We send a technician to Kingsmead for every job, with no extra charge for travel.
Are you a vetted contractor?
We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
What happens if you find more damage?
We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
In most cases. The old repair comes out first, so let us know about it.
Will you leave a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.
Will there be a smell?
There may be a mild smell during the work, which fades afterwards.
What happens after I send photos?
We review the photos and send a fixed quote and the next dates we have.
For landlords and businesses
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
If you manage property in Kingsmead, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we’ll price them together.
Honest limits
A repair isn’t always the answer, and we’ll tell you before we start. We cannot fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.
Surfaces we repair
- Coloured shower trays
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured basins
The process
Once we are through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. We mask off everything nearby, the work takes one to two days for a full suite, depending on what we find, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
Getting a price
We price from pictures so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through.
Advice
What coloured bath resurfacing costs
Prices start from £350. You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- Access to the area
- How much damage there is
- Doing more than one item at once
- How hard the colour is to match
What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.
Send photos for a quote
Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To make it quick:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Details of any past repairs
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
Upload a picture of the damage and one of the entire item, and tell us you are in Kingsmead, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
