Coloured bath resurfacing in Lakenham without replacing anything

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Typical jobs include selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, on coloured basins, whole bathroom suites and coloured shower trays.

You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Lakenham as everywhere else we work. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What a repair can’t fix

We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites

What we do, step by step

Once we are through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes one to two days for a full suite, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the next day.

Before we arrive

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. There’s no charge for travel to Lakenham. The price depends on:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • What kind of damage it is
  • The material and finish
  • Unusual colours or finishes

Compared with replacing, a repair is typically a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

How to get a fixed quote

Two or three clear pictures are generally enough. Try to include:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Any details about the material
  • Where you are, by postcode

You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Common problems we fix in Lakenham

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What your quote should include

  • Who will actually do the work
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • How your room will be protected
  • How the colour is matched

Our hiring checklist

Can I fix it myself?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Lakenham. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
