What coloured bath resurfacing costs
Resurfacing from £350. We don’t charge extra for travel to Lavister. The price comes down to:
- Doing more than one item at once
- What the surface is made of
- How hard the colour is to match
- How much damage there is
Set against the cost of replacement, repairing normally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Send photos for a quote
Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- The material, if you know it
- Where you are, by postcode
- One picture of the entire suite
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them to us with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation.
Coloured bath resurfacing in Lavister, done in place
A full suite is generally done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We are frequently asked to fix a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and faded or patchy colour, in avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and coloured shower trays.
Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What we’re called out for in Lavister
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.
These are the problems we are asked about most:
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
- Faded or patchy colour
What your quote should include
- How to look after the finish
- How the room is protected while they work
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
- Who will actually do the work

Landlord and trade work in Lavister
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Lavister as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.
We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we will handle the rest.
Repair or replace in Lavister?
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
What you get with us
- We leave the room as we found it
- Generally one visit, start to finish

Common questions in Lavister
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before.
How do I book?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.
Do I need to be at home?
We need someone to let us in. You do not need to watch us work.
Are there extra charges for Lavister?
No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.
Do the materials smell?
A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help.
When can you do it?
Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
When a repair is not the answer
It helps to know what we can’t do:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.
Surfaces we repair
- Coloured basins
- Coloured shower trays
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Whole bathroom suites
Can I fix it myself?
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
What happens on the day
You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take one to two days for a full suite, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- We leave everything to cure, generally until the following day.
Preparing for the visit
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
- Let us know about parking or access
