Coloured bath resurfacing in Law

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Law

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We’re often asked to fix faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, in whole bathroom suites, coloured shower trays and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll come back. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Law?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

10 questions to ask before you book

Law: your questions answered

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.

Is there any odour?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied. It clears as the materials cure.

Do you come to Law?

Yes. We cover the entire UK and come to Law and the rest of South Lanarkshire. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

What happens if you find more damage?

We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders across South Lanarkshire.

What areas do you cover?

We work UK-wide, so Law is covered. Our prices are the same everywhere.

How do I book?

Photos of the damage, a photo of the whole suite and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

What affects the price in Law

Resurfacing from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:

  • The material and finish
  • The type of damage
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How hard the colour is to match

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You will see the full price before booking, with nothing added on the day.

Getting a price from pictures

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Please include:

  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Why book with us

  • A fixed quote before you book
  • One visit for most repairs
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • Rooms protected and left tidy

Read our prices page or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

What we cannot put right

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.

Surfaces we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

How it works

There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we will get on with it. Most visits take a day or two, depending on how many items, including clearing up.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the day after.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

Advice

Landlords, agents and businesses in Law

For anyone letting property in or around Law, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we will price them together.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
