Coloured bath resurfacing in Lea Town

Landlord and trade work in Lea Town

Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Lea Town

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Whether it’s a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and faded or patchy colour, we can help, on coloured basins, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured shower trays alike.

All our work comes with our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Lancashire. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

When we’d advise against a repair

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites

Lea Town questions

Is repairing better than replacing?

Normally, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

What about the toilet?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Do the materials smell?

There can be some smell while we work, so we ventilate the room. It clears as the materials cure.

Do I have to be there?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.

Is there a call-out fee?

We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

What happens after I send pictures?

You’ll get a fixed quote back, typically with dates to choose from. There is no obligation to book.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed price. These are the things that affect it:

  • The type of damage
  • The material
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Access to the area

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking.

Send photos for a quote

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Details of any past repairs
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.

The process

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, protect the area, and get on with the job, which normally takes one to two days for a full suite. If we find something your pictures didn’t show, we will explain it before carrying on.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

How to get a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, include your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed price, not an estimate.

Common problems we fix in Lea Town

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

Choosing a repair company

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Why book with us

  • Free fixed quotes from pictures
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Typically one visit, start to finish
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

See our pricing and bath cost comparison.

Can I fix it myself?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
