About our coloured bath resurfacing in Limerigg

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is normally done in one to two days. We regularly repair whole bathroom suites, coloured shower trays and coloured basins, and the jobs we see most are selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour.

Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

Questions from Limerigg

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Can pets and children be at home?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

What do you need from me?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.

How quickly can you book me in?

That depends on our diary for your area. Send pictures with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

What areas do you cover?

Everywhere in the UK, Limerigg included. There is no extra charge for travel.

Can landlords book you?

Yes, frequently. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Prices start from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Limerigg. What changes the price is:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • How many areas need work
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • The material and finish

No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

How to get a fixed quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Please include:

  • One picture of the whole suite
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Details of any past repairs
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire suite, we can price the job without visiting.

Signs you need coloured bath resurfacing in Limerigg

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

The things customers normally mention when they call are:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

Choosing a repair company

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

Why us?

  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • Rooms protected and left tidy

The process

On the day, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take a day or two, depending on how many items. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, typically until the next day.

Before we arrive

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Clear the area around the damage

Related advice

When a repair is not the answer

A repair isn’t always the answer, and we’ll tell you before we start. We can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before booking.

What we work on

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays

Work for landlords and builders

If you manage property in Limerigg, we will quote for several properties at once. Just send pictures for each address and we’ll price them together.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
