Coloured bath resurfacing near Lower Bourne

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Lower Bourne

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair coloured shower trays, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites, and the jobs we see most are selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

When a repair isn’t the answer

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Lower Bourne. The price reflects:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • The material and finish
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • The type of damage

Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

How to get a fixed price

You can usually get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Details of any past repairs
  • A wider photo showing the whole suite

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation.

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

The process

From the moment we arrive, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes one to two days for a full suite, depending on what we find, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

How to get a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, add your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.

What we’re called out for in Lower Bourne

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Typical reasons for a call-out include:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

Before you book anyone

  • Whether the price covers travel
  • What prep work is covered
  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • Who turns up on the day

How to compare quotes

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is typically a fraction of the price, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Why us?

  • No extra charge for your area
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • Work done at your home or business
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
