FAQs for Lower Sundon

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Is there any odour?

Expect a mild smell while we are working that clears as it cures.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Which areas do you work in?

Across the UK, and that includes Lower Sundon. Our prices are the same everywhere.

How do I get a price for coloured bath resurfacing in Lower Sundon?

Prices start from £350. Every job gets a fixed quote from your pictures. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

What about the toilet?

Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Lower Sundon?

Choosing a repair company

When we’d advise against a repair

A repair isn’t right for every job, including:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Why us?

  • No extra charge for your area
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • One-year guarantee on every repair

What happens on the day

We turn up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. Most visits take a day or two, depending on how many items, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, typically until the next day.

How to prepare

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

Advice

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. We give every job a fixed quote from photos. This is what makes a difference:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • What the surface is made of
  • How many items we do on one visit

A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed price

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A wider photo showing the entire suite
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Send us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your LU3 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

For landlords and businesses

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
