  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

  • Faded or patchy colour

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Mackerye End

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is generally done in one to two days. We work on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and people most frequently call us about a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Mackerye End as everywhere else we work. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. We don’t charge extra for travel to Mackerye End. The price depends on:

  • What the surface is made of
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How much damage there is

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Send pictures for a quote

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • The material, if you know it
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

Most customers in Mackerye End get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. A repair normally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Why Mackerye End clients choose us

  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • One price list for the entire UK
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • Everything repaired in place

Common questions in Mackerye End

Can tenants book a repair?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Of course, and it normally saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we’ll quote them together.

Is there a call-out fee?

There’s no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

What do you need from me?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

Will it make a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Can you price it without visiting?

Normally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

What happens if you find more damage?

If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

What a repair cannot fix

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.

What we work on

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

How it works

Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before any work starts. Most visits take a day or two, depending on how many items, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

How to get a price

You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

Advice

For landlords and businesses

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

Letting agents frequently send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
