How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Mere Side

A full suite is normally done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We work on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and common reasons people contact us are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in Mere Side and across Lancashire. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

When a repair isn’t the answer

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair won’t do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites

Landlord and trade work in Mere Side

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit.

Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Mere Side questions

Will there be a smell?

A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum, and it soon fades.

Can you quote from pictures?

Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.

Do I need to be at home?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

What areas do you cover?

The entire UK, including all of Lancashire. Send your postcode with your photos and we will confirm dates.

What happens next?

You get a fixed quote and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.

Is my repair covered?

Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Most of the time. Let us know what was used before.

When to call us in Mere Side

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

If you can see any of these, send us a photo:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What to look for in a quote

  • What aftercare is recommended
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • Whether the price covers travel

10 questions to ask before you book

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The colour and finish to match

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Mere Side. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

How to get a fixed quote

Two or three clear pictures are normally enough. It helps if you send:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Any details about the material
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote the same day in most cases.

DIY kit or professional repair?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

What happens on the day

We begin by going over the job with you, so there are no surprises. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. You can expect it to take one to two days for a full suite.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Getting a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
