When to call us in Middridge

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Keep an eye out for any of the following:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

What your quote should include

  • Whether the price covers travel
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
  • How your room will be protected
  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?

Our hiring checklist

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Middridge

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Our repair technicians work on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and common reasons people get in touch are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. You will know the full cost before you book. We look at:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How much damage there is

What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.

How to get a fixed quote

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:

  • The material, if you know it
  • Details of any past repairs
  • A picture taken from further back
  • Something in shot to show the size

For a price in Middridge, the easiest route is photos: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

What you get with us

  • Work done at your home or business
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • Colour-matched on site
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job

The process

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you’re not left guessing. On site, it takes one to two days for a full suite. The room is left tidy.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, typically until the next day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Ensure the room can be ventilated

Ask for a price

Advice

Landlord and trade work in Middridge

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

Honest limits

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair won’t do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

What we work on

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.
