About our coloured bath resurfacing in Mundesley

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured shower trays, and common reasons people contact us are selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. We return to put right any problem with the work. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Common problems we fix in Mundesley

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

Choosing a repair company

What we cannot put right

We would rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so here’s what a repair can’t put right:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites

Mundesley questions

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

Is there any odour?

There can be some smell while we work. It fades as everything cures.

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

You get a fixed quote and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.

Do you work in Mundesley?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Mundesley and the rest of Norfolk. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.

What do you need from me?

Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we will take it from there.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Mundesley

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Mundesley as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. These are the things that affect it:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The material and finish
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The type of damage

Compared with replacing, repairing normally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Getting a price from pictures

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Details of any past repairs
  • A picture taken from further back

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole suite, we can give you a fixed quote without visiting.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.

The process

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. It typically takes one to two days for a full suite, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

Ask for a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
