Coloured bath resurfacing in Navenby

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Navenby

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. We’re often asked to fix a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and faded or patchy colour, on coloured shower trays, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Navenby. What changes the price is:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • What kind of damage it is
  • The material and finish
  • Whether we combine several jobs

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Navenby. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Quotes from your photos

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation.

DIY kit or professional repair?

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Compared with replacing, a repair is generally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

What you get with us

The process

We turn up when we said we would and checks the damage against your photos first. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. The work itself takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

What we cannot put right

In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

Landlords, agents and businesses in Navenby

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there’s no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

What we’re called out for in Navenby

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.

Most people contact us when they notice one of these:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
