Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in New England
Can you turn my avocado bath white?
Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
Is it messy?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Can you price it without visiting?
In nearly every case. If pictures don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.
What information do you need?
Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
Yes, regularly. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.
What about the toilet?
Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will tell you what will last.
How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in New England
We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is normally done in one to two days. Our technicians work on whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins, and the jobs we see most are selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour.
Every job is backed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

The process
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, do the job and tidy away. Allow one to two days for a full suite. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and how to care for it.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- We leave everything to cure, generally until the following day.
How to prepare
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
Getting a price
No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.

What a repair cannot fix
In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

Landlord and trade work in New England
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing
Resurfacing from £350. There’s no area surcharge for New England. What changes the price is:
- The size and number of damaged areas
- What the surface is made of
- How hard the colour is to match
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.
Quotes from your photos
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- The material, if you know it
- A picture taken from further back
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
Email us photos of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your PE1 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
DIY kit or professional repair?
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
