Coloured bath resurfacing for New Leeds homes

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in New Leeds

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. If you’re dealing with faded or patchy colour and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, we can generally put it right, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured shower trays and coloured basins alike.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months. We return to put right any problem with the work. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Can I fix it myself?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.

Common questions in New Leeds

How do I book?

Photos of the damage, a photo of the entire suite and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

When can you do it?

We’ll give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

Do you charge for travel?

We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.

Is it messy?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we have finished.

Will there be a smell?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, which is why we ventilate. It fades as everything cures.

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.

Which areas do you work in?

Everywhere in the UK, New Leeds included. Travel is included in the price.

How the visit works

We begin by going over the job with you. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. It normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the following day.

How to prepare

  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

What a repair can’t fix

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. We cannot fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • How many areas need work
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You will see the full price before booking, with no extras added later.

Quotes from your pictures

Phone photos are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Just ensure we can see:

  • A picture taken from further back
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Any details about the material

To get a price, send a couple of pictures using our quote form or ring us. We’ll say right away whether it can be repaired.

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour

Questions to ask before you book

  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • What happens if they find more damage
  • How the room is protected while they work
  • How the colour is matched

10 questions to ask before you book

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
