Questions from New Marske

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Do the materials smell?

It depends on the job, but often a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

What information do you need?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.

Do you come to New Marske?

Yes. We cover the entire UK and travel to New Marske and the rest of Redcar and Cleveland. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

What areas do you cover?

The whole UK, including all of Redcar and Cleveland. Send your postcode with your photos and we will confirm dates.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, so the repair isn’t disturbed while it cures.

About our coloured bath resurfacing in New Marske

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Our technicians work on whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and coloured shower trays, and common reasons people contact us are faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What we cannot put right

Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. We can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

What we do, step by step

When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job usually takes one to two days for a full suite. We clean up when we’re done and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

How to get a price

Advice

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:

  • The material and finish
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • How many areas need work

A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Getting a price from photos

Phone pictures are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Just ensure we can see:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • One picture of the entire suite

For a price in New Marske, the easiest route is pictures: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

When to call us in New Marske

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

People typically call us when they notice something like this:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour

Comparing quotes

  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • Who turns up on the day
  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • How the room is protected while they work

Landlord and trade work in New Marske

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Redcar and Cleveland and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Why New Marske customers choose us

  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • No extra charge for your area
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

DIY kit or professional repair?

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
