Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is normally done in one to two days. Common call-outs are for faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite, in coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites.
Every job is backed for twelve months in Ninewells and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Honest limits

- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Ninewells. The price comes down to:
- The material and finish
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The size and number of damaged areas
What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.
Getting a price from pictures
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.
DIY kit or professional repair?
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Ninewells?
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.
Most people contact us when they notice one of these:
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Faded or patchy colour
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
Comparing quotes
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- How your room will be protected
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
- How changes to the job are handled
Should you replace it?
Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
What you get with us
- No need to remove anything
- One-year guarantee on every repair
- CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
- No extra charge for your area

How it works
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. It normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and you can get on with other things while we are there.
- The room is protected and ventilated.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.
Before we arrive
- Open a window if you can
- Let us know about parking or access
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
Getting a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire suite, add your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

Common questions in Ninewells
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
We review the pictures and send a fixed quote with dates.
What about the toilet?
Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will tell you what will last.
What information do you need?
Photos of the damage, a picture of the whole suite and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Normally, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
Can you turn my avocado bath white?
Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.
Can pets and children be at home?
