Coloured bath resurfacing for Northall homes

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Northall

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. If you are dealing with a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour, we can help, on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths alike.

You are covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Compared with replacing, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Why book with us

  • Colour-matched on site
  • One visit for most repairs
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job

Should I try a DIY kit first?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

What we do, step by step

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes one to two days for a full suite. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

Ask for a price

We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

Advice

What affects the price in Northall

Prices start from £350. There’s no charge for travel to Northall. The price comes down to:

  • The material and finish
  • How many areas need work
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • Access to the area

Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Send pictures for a quote

Before you send photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • One picture of the entire suite
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • What it’s made of, if you know

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole suite, we can give you a fixed quote.

Signs you need coloured bath resurfacing in Northall

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

People generally call us after spotting something like this:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What to look for in a quote

  • Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
  • How soon you can use it again
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match

Northall: your questions answered

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Yes, regularly. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

Are you accredited?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We come back with a fixed price, plus dates. You are under no obligation.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.

Do the materials smell?

A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.

For landlords and businesses

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Northall use us as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it normally costs far less than a refit.

Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We will fit around changeovers where we can.
