Book coloured bath resurfacing in Oakengates

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Oakengates?

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Send us a picture if you notice any of these:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

Before you book anyone

  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • What prep work is covered

Choosing a repair company

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Oakengates

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Typical jobs include selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, in avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured shower trays.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Common questions in Oakengates

Do you come to Oakengates?

Yes. We cover the entire UK and travel to Oakengates and the rest of Telford and Wrekin. Send pictures and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

When can you do it?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

Can you quote from pictures?

Yes, almost always. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.

Will it make a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

Is there any odour?

It depends on the job, but often a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

What information do you need?

Photos of the damage, a photo of the whole suite and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

You get a fixed price and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Work for landlords and builders

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Prices start from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • How much damage there is
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Access to the area
  • What the surface is made of

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Oakengates. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

How to get a fixed price

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • The material, if you know it
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Details of any past repairs

There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

What we do, step by step

Once we are through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the next day.

Before we arrive

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access

How to get a price

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos using our quote form or call us. We will say right away whether it can be repaired.

Related advice

Can I fix it myself?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Honest limits

To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before you book.
