How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Offord Cluny

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Whether it’s selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, we can help.

Every job is backed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. These are the things that affect it:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The material
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

Send pictures for a quote

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:

  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Any details about the material

You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Offord Cluny

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

If you manage property in Offord Cluny, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send photos for each one and we will come back with a combined price.

Questions from Offord Cluny

How quickly can you book me in?

That depends on our diary for your area. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders in Offord Cluny.

Is my repair covered?

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged.

Can pets and children be at home?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day.

Do the materials smell?

It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum, and it soon fades.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.

What happens after I send pictures?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote.

Common problems we fix in Offord Cluny

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

The most common problems we are called about are:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour

Questions to ask before booking

  • What happens if they find more damage
  • How to care for the finish
  • What preparation is included
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers

How to compare quotes

When we’d advise against a repair

We would rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

What you get with us

  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures
  • Rooms protected and left tidy

See our pricing and guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

How the visit works

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, do the job and clear up. Allow a day or two, depending on how many items from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and how to look after it.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the following day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

How to get a price

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures using our quote form or ring us. We’ll say straight away whether it can be repaired.
