What we can’t put right

A repair is not always the answer, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before booking.

Materials we work on in Penybanc

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Penybanc

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Our technicians work on avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured shower trays, and people most frequently call us about a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before booking. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Can I fix it myself?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

What we do, step by step

The work is clean and fairly quiet. We protect the area first, then the work takes one to two days for a full suite. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the next day.

Before we arrive

  • Open a window if you can
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

How to get a price

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

Repair or replace in Penybanc?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why Penybanc clients choose us

  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • Everything repaired in place

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Penybanc. What changes the price is:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The material
  • Access to the area

We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Getting a price from pictures

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:

  • One picture of the entire suite
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Where you are, by postcode

To get a price, send two or three photos through our quote form or ring us. We will tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.
