Coloured bath resurfacing in Pinfold without replacing anything

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Typical jobs include selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, on whole bathroom suites, coloured shower trays and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months. We return to put right any problem with the work. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Pinfold?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

If you can see any of these, send us a photo:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

Questions to ask before you book

  • How long it needs to cure
  • How to care for the finish
  • Who turns up on the day
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match

How to compare quotes

DIY repairs versus a professional job

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. We don’t charge extra for travel to Pinfold. The price depends on:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • How many areas need work
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • The material

A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed quote

When you take your photos, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • The material, if you know it
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A wider photo showing the entire suite

No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.

Common questions in Pinfold

Do you work in Pinfold?

Yes. We work across the UK and come to Pinfold. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.

Is it messy?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.

Do the materials smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Is the work guaranteed?

Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Pinfold. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Why Pinfold clients choose us

  • No need to remove anything
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • One price list for the entire UK
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited

When a repair isn’t the answer

A repair isn’t right for every job, including:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins

The process

You do not need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. Most jobs take one to two days for a full suite, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, usually until the day after.

Before we arrive

  • Open a window if you can
  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

How to get a price

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire suite, we can price the job.
