Coloured bath resurfacing in Plympton

When to call us in Plympton

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.

The things clients usually mention when they call include:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour

What your quote should include

  • What preparation is included
  • If travel is included in the price
  • Whether a trained technician does the job
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Plympton

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We work on coloured basins, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites, and common reasons people contact us are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Plympton: your questions answered

Is there a call-out fee?

We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Can landlords book you?

Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

What areas do you cover?

Across the UK, and that includes Plympton. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll tell you what will last.

When can you do it?

We will give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Do you cover Plympton?

Yes, we do. Technicians travel to Plympton from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your pictures and you will get one combined price.

Can you quote from photos?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos cannot show what we need.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. There’s no area surcharge for Plympton. The price reflects:

  • The type of damage
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The material

We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Send pictures for a quote

You can usually get a fixed quote without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • The material, if you know it
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole suite, we can give you a fixed quote.

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why book with us

  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Work done at your home or business
  • One visit for most repairs
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

Landlords, agents and businesses in Plympton

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, pictures and access details and we will handle the rest.

If you manage property in Plympton, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send photos for each one and we will come back with a combined price.

How it works

Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so you know exactly what we’re doing. Next, we cover and mask everything nearby and we start. You can expect it to take one to two days for a full suite, and we will tell you if anything changes.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, typically until the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

Ask for a price

We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

What a repair cannot fix

A repair isn’t always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
