Coloured bath resurfacing near Porcupine

Coloured bath resurfacing in Porcupine without replacing anything

A full suite is typically done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Typical jobs include a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, in coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and whole bathroom suites.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Why Porcupine customers choose us

  • No extra charge for your area
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • One visit for most repairs

How the visit works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. It typically takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

Advice

Can I fix it myself?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

Porcupine: your questions answered

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

Which areas do you work in?

Everywhere in the UK, Porcupine included. Travel is included in the price.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

How much does coloured bath resurfacing cost in Porcupine?

Resurfacing from £350. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from photos. You know the full cost before anything is booked.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

What happens after I send photos?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote and the next dates we have.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. We price every job individually. What matters most is:

  • How many areas need work
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The type of damage
  • Whether we combine several jobs

A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Quotes from your photos

We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what we need:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Any details about the material
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. There is no charge for the quote and you are under no obligation.

For landlords and businesses

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

If you manage property in Porcupine, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send pictures for each address and we will come back with a combined price.

When to call us in Porcupine

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

The most common problems we are called about are:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

Comparing quotes

  • How soon you can use it again
  • Who turns up on the day
  • Whether the price covers travel
  • What happens if they find more damage

Honest limits

In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.
