About our coloured bath resurfacing in Poyle
We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We regularly repair avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and coloured shower trays, and people most often call us about faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite.
Every repair is covered by a one-year guarantee. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What information do you need?
Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
Do the materials smell?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, which is why we ventilate. It fades as everything cures.
Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?
Most of the time. Tell us what was done before.
Is there a call-out fee?
We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.
Do you cover Poyle?
We do. We send a technician to Poyle for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
Is it messy?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

What we cannot put right
A repair is not always the answer, and we’ll tell you before we start. We can’t fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.
What we work on
- Coloured shower trays
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured basins
- Whole bathroom suites
How it works
When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job generally takes one to two days for a full suite. We clean up when we’re done and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Each item is left to cure, normally ready the next day.
Before we arrive
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
Ask for a price
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, include your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
Advice
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. You’ll know the full cost before you book. We look at:
- How much damage there is
- The type of damage
- The colour and finish to match
- The material and finish
The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.
Send pictures for a quote
Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
If you’re in Poyle and want a price, photos are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Should you replace it?
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Why us?
- Same prices wherever you are
- Free fixed quotes from pictures
- CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
- No need to remove anything

Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
Common problems we fix in Poyle
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.
Keep an eye out for any of the following:
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Faded or patchy colour
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
What your quote should include
- How changes to the job are handled
- How the colour is matched
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
- Whether a trained technician does the job
