Coloured bath resurfacing in Quarrington, done in place

A full suite is normally done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, on whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

Every repair is covered by a one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Lincolnshire. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

Repair or replace in Quarrington?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.

Questions from Quarrington

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

Do you cover Quarrington?

We do. Technicians travel to Quarrington from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Of course, and it usually saves money. Send pictures of everything together and you’ll get one combined price.

What happens after I send pictures?

We review the photos and send a fixed quote with dates.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

Are there extra charges for Quarrington?

There’s no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Most of the time. Let us know what was used before.

What we do, step by step

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you know when to expect us. Once we are there, the work takes one to two days for a full suite. We leave the room clean.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

Related advice

Should I try a DIY kit first?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. There’s no charge for travel to Quarrington. The price depends on:

  • The material
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The type of damage
  • Whether we combine several jobs

No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Getting a price from pictures

The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • One picture of the entire suite
  • Details of any past repairs
  • What it’s made of, if you know

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, add your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

When we would advise against a repair

It helps to know what we can’t do too:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
