Coloured bath resurfacing near Redcloak

Should I try a DIY kit first?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Redcloak

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Typical jobs include selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, in whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are not left on your own once we’ve gone. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Questions from Redcloak

Is a repair better than a new one?

Usually, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

Will there be a smell?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, so we ventilate the room. It fades as everything cures.

Which areas do you work in?

Everywhere in the UK, Redcloak included. Travel is included in the price.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Of course, and it generally saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and you will get one combined price.

What information do you need?

Just photos, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

When can you do it?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

What happens after I send pictures?

We come back with a fixed price, usually with dates to choose from. You are under no obligation.

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

The price is fixed for what the photos show. If there is more, we’ll tell you before starting.

Landlord and trade work in Redcloak

Letting agents frequently send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we will handle the rest.

When to call us in Redcloak

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

The most common problems we’re called about are:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour

Choosing a repair company

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why us?

  • Work done at your home or business
  • Fixed prices from your photos
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Same prices wherever you are

See our pricing and resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

What a repair can’t fix

Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays

The process

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, do the job and clear up. Allow a day or two, depending on how many items from start to finish. Before we go, we’ll explain when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Let us know about parking or access

Advice

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • The material
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Access to the area

A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed price

Phone pictures are fine. Just ensure we can see:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • One picture of the whole suite

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote.
