Need coloured bath resurfacing in Reraig?

Work for landlords and builders

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, pictures and access details and we’ll arrange it.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Reraig, done in place

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is normally done in one to two days. Typical jobs include a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour, across whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and coloured shower trays.

You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Reraig as everywhere else we work. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

What happens on the day

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you know when to expect us. Once we are there, the work takes one to two days for a full suite for most jobs. The room is left tidy and you will know when it can be used.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, usually until the day after.

How to prepare

  • Open a window if you can
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

Getting a price

You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

What we can’t put right

Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. We can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

What we work on

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites

What we are called out for in Reraig

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.

Look out for any of the following:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Questions to ask before you book

  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
  • What happens if they find more damage

10 questions to ask before booking

What affects the price in Reraig

Prices start from £350. There’s no area surcharge for Reraig. The price reflects:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The type of damage
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • The size and number of damaged areas

A repair usually costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

How to get a fixed quote

Before you send pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Where you are, by postcode

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Reraig: your questions answered

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will tell you what will last.

Are there extra charges for Reraig?

We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Most of the time. Let us know what was used before and we will plan for it.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We look at the photos and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.

What information do you need?

Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, access to the room.

Is repairing better than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
