How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Rhodes
Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and faded or patchy colour, in coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins.
We guarantee the work for a year. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Rhodes: your questions answered
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and we’ll quote them together.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.
Do you work in Rhodes?
Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Rhodes and the rest of Rochdale. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Can you do the toilet too?
Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.
Will there be a smell?
Expect a mild smell while we are working.
What a repair can’t fix
We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.
What we work on
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured shower trays
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured basins
How it works
We begin by going over the job with you, so there are no surprises. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. You can expect it to take a day or two, depending on how many items, and we’ll keep you posted as we go.
- The room is protected and ventilated.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- Each item is left to cure, usually ready the next day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

What else we do in Rhodes
DIY repairs versus a professional job
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
For landlords and businesses
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Rhodes use us as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it generally costs far less than a refit.
If you manage property in Rhodes, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we’ll come back with a combined price.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. We price every job individually. The main factors are:
- What kind of damage it is
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- How much damage there is
- Unusual colours or finishes
Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.
Send pictures for a quote
We price nearly every job from photos. This is what to send:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- One picture of the entire suite
- One sharp close-up of the damage
If you’re in Rhodes and want a price, the easiest route is photos: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
Should you replace it?
Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Rhodes?
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.
