Coloured bath resurfacing in Runcton

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Runcton

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Whether it’s faded or patchy colour and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, we can usually put it right, whatever the material.

All our work comes with a one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Runcton

For anyone letting property in or around Runcton, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Just send pictures for each address and we will come back with a combined price.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, photos and access details.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed price. These are the things that affect it:

  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • The material
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • How easy the damage is to reach

Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

Getting a price from pictures

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Any details about the material
  • One picture of the whole suite
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • One sharp close-up of the damage

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job.

Honest limits

Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, for example:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins

When to call us in Runcton

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

Keep an eye out for these signs:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour

What your quote should include

  • Who turns up on the day
  • How to look after the finish
  • How long it needs to cure
  • A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

What you get with us

  • No extra charge for your area
  • No need to remove anything
  • Work done at your home or business
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited

Read our prices page or resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

Can I fix it myself?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

Runcton questions

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will tell you what will last.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses in Runcton.

Are you a vetted contractor?

We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that is in the quote.

How quickly can you book me in?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

Does someone need to be in?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You do not need to watch us work.

The process

When we visit, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take one to two days for a full suite. We clean up when we’re done and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit
