Need coloured bath resurfacing in Runwell?

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Runwell

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Typical jobs include faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, across whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins.

You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Runwell as everywhere else we work. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:

  • How many items we do on one visit
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • The type of damage

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.

Quotes from your photos

Before you send pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Details of any past repairs
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A photo taken from further back

Most customers in Runwell get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

What we are called out for in Runwell

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

Questions to ask before you book

  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • What happens if they find more damage
  • A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included

How to compare quotes

Common questions in Runwell

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

You’ll get a fixed quote back. There is no obligation to book.

Which areas do you work in?

We work UK-wide, and that includes Runwell. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Are there extra charges for Runwell?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

How do I book?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Essex.

Will there be a smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Runwell

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

For anyone letting property in or around Runwell, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send photos for each address and we’ll price them together.

Repair or replace in Runwell?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

What you get with us

  • One visit for most repairs
  • Colour-matched on site
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

What we do, step by step

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and start once you are happy with the plan. Most jobs take a day or two, depending on how many items, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the next day.

How to prepare

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Should I try a DIY kit first?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

When we’d advise against a repair

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.
