When to call us in Saints
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.
Most people get in touch after spotting something like this:
- Faded or patchy colour
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
Questions to ask before booking
- What protection goes down before work starts
- What aftercare is recommended
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- Whether they match the colour on site
How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Saints
Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is typically done in one to two days. Whether it’s selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, we can help, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and coloured shower trays alike.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

What we do, step by step
Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.
How to prepare
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Let us know about parking or access
How to get a price
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
Advice
What we can’t put right
To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before booking.
Materials we repair
- Coloured basins
- Whole bathroom suites
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured shower trays
For landlords and businesses
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Luton and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
What affects the price in Saints
Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Saints. What changes the price is:
- What kind of damage it is
- How hard the colour is to match
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.
Send photos for a quote
You can take the photos on your phone. Just ensure we can see:
- The material, if you know it
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A picture taken from further back
- Details of any past repairs
Upload a picture of the damage and one of the entire item, and tell us you are in Saints, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
