Coloured bath resurfacing near Scronkey

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Prices start from £350. We give every job a fixed quote from pictures. This is what makes a difference:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • What kind of damage it is
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Send pictures for a quote

You can typically get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A picture taken from further back
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

To get a price, send a couple of photos through our quote form or call us. We will say immediately whether it can be repaired.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Scronkey, done in place

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We are frequently asked to fix a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, in coloured basins, whole bathroom suites and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

Every job is backed for twelve months in Scronkey and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What we do, step by step

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can stay at home while we are there. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

How to prepare

  • Open a window if you can
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

Related advice

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Why us?

  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • A fixed quote before booking
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

Read our pricing and resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

Can I fix it myself?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Scronkey questions

How soon can you come?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

Are there extra charges for Scronkey?

There’s no separate call-out charge. Your fixed price includes everything.

Is there any odour?

There can be some smell while we work. It clears as the materials cure.

Do I have to be there?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You do not need to watch us work.

Can you quote from pictures?

Normally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

What about the toilet?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Just add the extra items to your pictures and we will quote them together.

When a repair is not the answer

In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
