Coloured bath resurfacing in St Eval

Coloured bath resurfacing in St Eval without replacing anything

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Our technicians work on coloured shower trays, whole bathroom suites and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and the jobs we see most are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before you book. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

How it works

From the moment we arrive, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Ensure the area is dry
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

How to get a price

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

St Eval: your questions answered

Do you hold any accreditations?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will tell you what will last.

Will it make a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you’ll get one combined price.

What do you need from me?

Photos of the damage, a picture of the whole suite and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.

Can you quote from pictures?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures cannot show what we need.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

When to call us in St Eval

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Keep an eye out for these signs:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour

What to look for in a quote

  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • How the colour is matched
  • When it can be used again
  • What preparation is included

Honest limits

It helps to know what we can’t do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in St Eval use us as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including St Eval. The price reflects:

  • What the surface is made of
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Whether we combine several jobs

Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Send pictures for a quote

We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what we need:

  • A wider photo showing the entire suite
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

For a price in St Eval, photos are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.
