When a repair isn’t the answer

A repair is not right for every job, including:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays

Coloured bath resurfacing in Stapeley without replacing anything

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Common call-outs are for selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured basins and coloured shower trays.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in Stapeley

Do you hold any accreditations?

We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Is there a call-out fee?

There is no separate call-out charge. Your fixed price includes everything.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Typically, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one.

Can pets and children be at home?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders.

Is it messy?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.

Work for landlords and builders

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Stapeley as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it typically costs far less than a refit.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

The process

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to one to two days for a full suite, including clearing up.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

How to prepare

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

Ask for a price

We price from photos so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

DIY kit or professional repair?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. You will know the full cost before booking. We look at:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • What the surface is made of
  • Whether we combine several jobs

Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Getting a price from pictures

Before you send photos, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • The material, if you know it
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A picture taken from further back

For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
