About our coloured bath resurfacing in Stone
We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We work on whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured shower trays, and people most frequently call us about selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Repairing versus replacing in Stone
Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. A repair typically costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in Stone
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.
Can you price it without visiting?
In nearly every case. If pictures don’t show enough, we will ask for another angle.
Are you accredited?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
Do the materials smell?
There can be some smell while we work, so we ventilate the room. It fades as everything cures.
Are there extra charges for Stone?
We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.
Do I have to be there?
We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Which areas do you work in?
All of Somerset, and the rest of the UK. Travel is included in the price.
Can tenants book a repair?
Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
DIY kit or professional repair?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Stone
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Somerset and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.
Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:
- What the surface is made of
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- How hard the colour is to match
- Whether we combine several jobs
A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Send photos for a quote
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Please include:
- One picture of the whole suite
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire suite, we can give you a fixed price.
How the visit works
You do not need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. It typically takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- We leave everything to cure, normally until the next day.
Before we arrive
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
Getting a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire suite, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Common problems we fix in Stone
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.
The most common problems we’re called about are:
- Faded or patchy colour
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
What your quote should include
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- Whether the price covers travel
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
- How long it needs to cure
What a repair can’t fix
A repair is not right for every job, for example:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.
Surfaces we repair
- Coloured shower trays
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured basins
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
